Sourcing from the Sawmill
We partner directly with sustainable local sawmills to hand-select raw, rough-sawn slabs. By choosing wood with unique grain patterns, burls, and live edges, we ensure every product has its own distinct personality.
We avoid buying mass-produced lumber from big-box retailers whenever possible. Every piece we create begins its journey at local mills and undergoes a rigorous raw processing journey right here in our workshop.

Raw wood holds significant moisture. Our sawmill handles the drying of our lumber in a controlled kiln environment until it reaches an optimal 6–8% moisture content, preventing future warping, twisting, or cracking.
Back in our shop, the real transformation begins. We run the rough lumber through our jointer and planer to create perfectly flat faces and square edges, revealing the stunning hidden grain beneath the rough exterior.
This is where your product takes shape. Whether cutting precise joinery for furniture, shaping a custom cutting board, or turning a bowl, we use traditional hand tools and time-tested woodworking techniques.
We sand every piece through progressively finer grits up to an ultra-smooth texture. Finally, we seal the wood using premium, non-toxic, food-safe oils and waxes that protect the timber while highlighting its organic beauty. Furniture can be painted, stained, or finished to your preference, and products can also be shipped unfinished.
